Pelung
chicken is one of Indonesia crowing chickens for contest and competition
purposes originated from Cianjur, Jawa Barat. The song quality of pelung
chicken during contest can be assessed accurately by using the acoustic analysis.
Pelung (rooster) pacticipated on national contest 2016 were used in this research
as 30 rooster (from final class = 8; from semifinal class = 22). The rooster’s
songs were collected and recorded by using shotgun microphone Sennheiser ME66
and Sony PCM-D150. The analysis of waveform type, duration, amplitude,
frequency and power of song were performed using software program of Raven Pro
1.4. Pelung roosters from final class had 3 waveforms (1st, 2nd, and 3rd).
Pelung roosters from semifinal class had 2 waveform (1st and 2nd waveform). The
rooster’s song from final class could be defferentiated form roosters song in semifinal
