The effect of silages complete
rations and pellet complete rations on performance of doe were evaluated.
Twelve female New Zealand White rabbits aged 6 months and live weight
1696.33±109.92 g were randomly assigned to one of the two dietary treatments
named complete pellet ration (R1) and complete silages ration (R2). Feed and
water were given ad libitum. Parameters measured were feed consumption, weight
gain, feed eficiency, percentage of pregnancy, litter size, litter weight, and
born weight. t test was used to analyzed the data. Results showed that
treatments influenced performance of rabbits. Percentage of pregnancy of rabbit
fed complete pellet rations (100%) was higher than that of rabbit fed complete
silages ration (50%). Litter size and litter weight were higher for rabbit fed
complete pellet ration than complete silages ration. But the efficiency of the
ration was not significantly different. It is concluded that complete pellet
ration was better than complete silages ration on increasing reproductive
performance of New Zealand White doe’s.
