The Quality of Complete Ration
Containing Palm Kernel Meal Mixed with Different Forages for Rabbit

The objectives of this
experiment were to evaluate the effect of feeding complete diet containing palm
kernel meal mixed with different forages on feed intake, average daily growth
(ADG), and feed efficiency of local male New Zealand White rabbit, and also to
compare the diet with complete diet containing copra meal. Fifteen rabbits were
given randomly one of five treatments i.e. R1 (complete ration contain 5% copra
meal and 25% field grass), R2 (complete ration + 5% copra meal + 25% field
grass + 5% Leucaena leucochepala), R3 (complete ration + 5% copra meal +
25% field grass + 5% sweet potato leaves), R4 (complete ration + 5% palm kernel
meal + 25% field grass + 5% Leucaena leucochepala), R5 (complete ration
+ 5% palm kernel meal + 25 % field grass + 5% sweet potato leaves). The
experiment was conducted for 35 days with the adaptation periods for 7 days.
The data from completely randomized design were analyzed by Analysis of
Variance, and differences among treatments were examined with Duncan Multiple
Range Test. The result showed that feed intake of rabbits fed R1 was
